Nothing To Celebrate: Ray Nagin

The Ray Nagin trial shows me again how even people of power can be made examples of if they choose to flip the script in favor of their personal feelings. Why didn't they press all of these charges much earlier? Would these charges have even been brought to light had Nagin never mentioned the Chocolate City rebirth thing? This was not on their agenda and Nagin changed the whole post Katrina script with his emotional ranting. Thus, they got his ass good! I can't say he's not to blame for his own actions, but I have to wonder if he had played the good ole boy role would he be in trouble today?
